I'm seriously so impressed by the staff! Such an amazing front desk receptionist. She was hilarious. My only complaint would be that the rooms didn't have USB ports and the bathrooms had Lavender hair and body cleaning products. Unfortunately I'm severely allergic to Lavender so that made me nervous about the laundry cleaning products they used.

The lady at the counter was very very rude. My husband had just had back surgery. I have Platinum Elite status and I called in the morning and asked for a late check out and she said NO. Then at 10:58 am they were pounding on the door saying it was time to go. It wasn't like there was anything going on in Afton that day that they needed every room cleaned by 11:00 am. I was NOT happy and it still makes me upset thinking about how rude and inconsiderate the woman at the counter was. I've stayed at dozens of Marriotts and this by far was the worst experience I've ever had.

Positive: Loved the Friendly and Accommodating Staff. Breakfast was fresh, well stocked and excellent variety. Location is perfect for a temple trip. Rooms are well taken care of and clean. Negative: Both my husband and I had severe allergies when in the room probably because of previous guests had pets.

Beds are extremely hard. Pool and hot tub are not heated and are terribly cold. House keeping is available only upon request, but even after requesting and waiting 4 hours we were told that house keeping has left for the day. I realize the pandemic and market dictate that there is a labor shortage and that we all must be a little more patient but I would hope the price would decrease to reflect the experience. Or that we would be notified of amenities and cleaning being unavailable upfront. Adjoining rooms request was not honored though the rooms are right next to each other. Overall everything is clean, but getting any sleep here is difficult. 6 adults in the party and all 6 thought the beds were like sleeping on the floor. So much promise being the only brand hotel in a small town. But we won’t be staying here again. Having stayed nearly everywhere else in town I can attest that nearly everything else is a better value for your money. Kodiak. Gardeners. VRBO. Anywhere but Afton Marriott.
