It's not too bad, i just moved around the area. I thought that it does have its nice scenery and views of sunsets. But i do advise, going before 6. All these gnats or flies flying around. Yeah i get it its nature, but there's so much of ants on the ground like its infested with ants like it isnt fertilized correctly. They do sitll need lights, what if i want to go for a night run. it is a small walk its less then a mile around the big loop. would be nice to have some benches or picnic tables around. and some water on both ends. I think overall it needs to be maintained better and fertilized on the daily. Also for the sprinklers to be coming on the water not on the pavements, due to safety precautions. Restrooms would be nice also.

Beautiful park, nice walking/running walks.

A beautiful park! A great place to have a luxurious picnic with friends. Beautiful water feature and a trail for a nice casual walk afterwards. Text the Picnic Chic for a sunset picnic during this warmer climate.

There's a trail map with distances for West Lake Park on the Generation Park website: https://www.generationpark.com/parks-trails It ranges from 0.61 mi. to 0.96 mi. depending on the route you take.
Yes I've seen people fishing in the park several times. Fishing off the pier looks like the best spot.
3 full laps is 5k. 5k is about 3 miles. So I would say about 2 miles for 2 laps.
A guy that was walking the trail showed us a picture of a 4-foot alligator on the bank. I saw a large soft shell turtle resting on the bank as well
All the way around the outside trail is 0.89 miles. If you do a figure 8 it is 0.96 miles.

Trash cans have just been installed!
I would think one lap around the entire park is a mile. Either animal owner start picking up poop are band animals from the park
