I haven’t had service that bad in a long time. I have worked in the service industry for 15+ years- I even worked here at the Murray! The bartenders completely ignored us. We waited 30 minutes to order food, and when it came they got our order wrong- never checked on us again. Empty drinks for another half hour. I know how hectic the service industry can be and I’m very understanding of that, but that service was completely unacceptable.

The Historic Murray Hotel was absolutely everything I hoped it would be. Check in was a breeze, street parking was easy and my room was great! You can feel the history in the building and it’s location is second to none. The attached hotel 2nd street bistro is to die for. The on-site bar was amazing and the live music was great! There’s even a rooftop terrace where you can take a break, catch some views and get some air. As you walk up the stairs, you can see and feel the age of the building. It’s absolutely beautiful. They provide everything and more in your room as well, including toothbrushes and even floss picks! Do yourself a favor and see why Anthony Bourdain said this was one of his favorite hotels in America.

Great bartenders, except for the on that was exceptional. I had 4 friends from Georgia that told me "Best Burger I've Ever HAD! HONESTLY). I think they had the Big Jim burger. I know I did.

The Murray values it’s clientele by communicating frequently before arrival. So we were not surprised by no-breakfast due to personnel shortage. They made up for this small inconvenience by giving super service. They say it was just a coincidence but they gave us the Sam Peckinpah suite with two bedrooms, 2 baths, a huge living room and full kitchen all decorated in beautiful Western antiques but updated. What a treat! A stay here is a visit to history but modern conveniences are included. The many plush live plants alone are worth a visit. The best thing, of course, is the people here. So helpful, even printing our boarding passes for us for our flight home. We will tailor our next visit to Montana to include a stop to The Murray.

Only street parking, but I had no problem finding a spot close to the hotel.
