It enables their extortion. Leave them the broker, and the owner of the product high and dry looking for another trying to set up a new truck order. The fact is, it takes a minimum of a whole business day for a broker to find another truckload and put together a new truck order. Dealing with their scheduling, takes 2-3 business days. Overall, it can take as much as a week. Brokers that offer to just pay it for you? Demand a revised rate con of Double the amount if the latenes wasn't your fault. Its well worth the short term hardship strong arming places like this.It also drives up rates.
