Such a gorgeous place to visit! Also far larger than I expected, with 8 sizable ponds and an excellent variety of beautiful birds. It’s spacious enough that you can expect to find a quiet, empty spot to observe, but also small enough that you couldn’t get very lost. I’d say the preserve is suitable for people of most, if not all, ages/abilities.

I love this place. I never come to Vegas without stopping here. Guaranteed Verdin sighting. Gorgeous little bird. Lots of white-faced ibis today. Beautiful.
How much walking is there? Can you rent electric scooters?

You can walk as much as you want, lots of different paths. Nothing to rent that I know of
We have a baby Robin that fell out of his nest from a very tall pine tree. It can’t fly yet, but is healthy. We have been feeding him pate cat food. Would you be able to take him? We have him in a bird cage right now.
I heard that the preserve has a shuttle for handicapped folks on Saturdays. Is this true and how does one arrange to take the shuttle?

Not sure about this, but if you call during business hours, the workers will help you. They are super nice and so knowledgeable about birds. They do have some educational programs here as well.
