Very scenic gravel trail. It is a little rough, narrow at times, and had tree trimming debris to watch out for.

Great park with the 100 mile plus John Wayne Trail passing through it. We did the trail from Rattlesnake Lake Recreational Area and went 11 miles east and back. The bike trail is very scenic with a slight grade of roughly 2%. There are great trestles that you cross in this section and rock climbers to watch in about 3-4 areas along the trail. The ground was hard and mainly smooth with small rocks and gravel. We averaged 6mph going up and 12-14mph coming back!

I love this place. Great for family hikes!

We spent a day in this park while here on vacation and really enjoyed our time there. The park is well maintained and has great cycling trails. We experienced one of the longest cycling/hiking tunnels going straight through one of the mountains, and explored the park while we were there. Stunning vistas, and amazing scenery everywhere. Well worth a stop in.

There are some camping spots along the bike trail going to hyak, not sure if it has car camping spots though.
Immediately next door is Rattlesnake Lake where you might find an adequate spot
Restrooms w toilet paper. Not aware of any showers or such. Also, rattlesnake lake area is right next door (easy walk 2 min) so check the amenities there also
Not at the trailhead no. But there are plenty of areas around.
