I was DAV lifetime member once then tried to volunteer assisting on veterans claims. Then three months later, I found out that I was mislead by one of the adjutant who passed away that it caused a lot friction between DAV and I at the VA. I finally resigned from it and got my full membership money back and I know not to help this organization anymore. You have to be careful with some of the veteran organizations these days. They are not what you hear they are for their veterans. Is all behind closed doors!

I have tried calling to book a pickup multiple times and nobody ever calls back, nobody ever answers the phone, and whoever did the voicemail recording wasn't trained in the art of brevity. I have a hyperextended knee that was already missing an ACL, pretty sure I did in my PCL this time. Could really use a freaking ride since I have no friends or family to help, so ANSWER YOUR PHONE, RETURN VOICEMAILS AND DO WHAT YOU SAY YOUR FUNCTION IS! I am not alone with this problem as I have seen on other comments, but I am also yet to see any company whatsoever adjust their performance based on reviews. I probably just wasted my time writing this, wishful thinking I guess.
