Dr. Malhotra is fantastic. He is very compassionate, and honest and yet straight to the point. His work ethic is unmatched and he answers questions thoroughly and does not have the patient do any extra test that he does not deem as necessary. Grateful we were recommend to him. He has been nothing but amazing.

The VA sent me to Nevada Heart and Vascular Center specifically for a stress echocardiogram. I waited 2 months to have the test, and not only did the results conflict with the VA's findings from 6 months prior, but they didn't even bother to record strain rate imaging because of poor image quality. No mention of this at all during the test. At the follow-up Dr. Tselikis just said everything was normal, which it wasn't because I had abnormal EKG's from that same test. He did admit that he didn't transcribe nor review the results, so I'm not sure whether to commend him on his honesty, or just be more irritated that it was a huge waste of time, when I clearly should have gone elsewhere. Supposedly Dr. Tselikis is this great cardiologist. I have only seen him twice, I certainly wouldn't characterize him as "bad". But he's isn't "my kind of doc". I don't go to sub-specialists to be di-ked around with, to be called pet names and rushed through my appointment just because they're 1+hour behind. If I have a reason to be there, I have a reason to be there. Needless to say I won't be going back because there isn't any reason to. Super unorganized on the front end and back end also. The support staff is nice and does their best. My experience is that "it" rolls downhill, meaning...if their support staff doesn't have it together, it's because the doctors don't (work well together, or support adequately).

Long waiting time. I have to reschedule twice for appointment because there were more than 10 people in front of us near 5pm!!!! Then I got an appointment at 3:10pm but wait until 4:30pm to get call.

Stay away at all costs!!!! 2.5 years ago I was told I needed a procedure, but it could not be done until they received pre authorization from my insurance company. Subsequently I was contacted and told they had received the pre-authorization and a date was set for my procedure. I came in paid my co-pay and had the procedure done. Fast forward 2 1/2 years, I get a bill in the mail for the full procedure as my insurance company had paid nothing. I called up Nevada heart and vascular and asked what was going on, they responded by telling me that they never received a preauthorization and I was now liable for the full amount. I don’t understand why I was told they had received preauthorization in the first place and secondly, why it would take 2 1/2 years for them to send me a bill. Something does not smell right here!!!!

I don't know all the instructions they take. But the care I received was excellent.
You can't eat until it's over. I just had one last week and I couldn't eat until I had the test done.
They do have a new heart camera that is used on Saturdays.
