Brought my very sick dog to Dr. Rachel on Nov 3rd. We were so impressed with her. She took time to understand my baby girl. The final amount was very fair. Not a rip off. Thanks Doc she feels better already. Beverly/Tony Demarco

Now I understand why most of the vets have jumped ship from this office. I've been taking my pets to VCA-branded hospitals for years, but never again after this last experience. Our dog incurred an injury and since it was after hours, we were referred by their outgoing voicemail message to a nearby emergency hospital to have our dog seen. They did a full examination there, complete with x-rays, diagnosed him, and prescribed extended rest and five days' worth of medication. The emergency hospital also ensured that full records of the visit and notes from the doctor would be sent so that VCA Black Mountain would be fully apprised of what is going on with our dog. The full course of his prescribed rest had not run its course, but we were out of the medication and it was clear that our dog was in a lot of pain. My husband went down to the office because the office cannot be reached by phoning them, and explained the situation. The sole vet who was working refused to prescribe more medication without us dragging our dog, whose movement is supposed to be greatly restricted in order to heal, out for a redundant, stressful, and painful examination by the VCA vet. Why have an affiliation/working relationship with another hospital if their examinations are not satisfactory for our dog to receive treatment at VCA, unless it's a money grab? So now we are waiting the hours it will take for the emergency hospital to open in order to minimize the amount of pain and stress our beloved family member has to suffer. It's just as well, I guess, since the place has very limited hours, literally never answers the phone, and is extremely slow to return calls, if you're lucky enough to have them returned at all.

Dr Boltz and Melinda are the best! Compassionate and amazing problem solvers. Staff is friendly and rooms are clean. Wish that had separate cat and dog doors.

Dr.Wynn specializes in birds, bearded dragon, ect. exotic animals, its what he specializes in exotic animals, Dr Wynn is great with dogs & cats too.
Urinary tract infection? Are her teeth bad? If her teeth are bad and she licks herself she can spread infection from her mouth to her urinary tract.
Black Mountain was the best. They love our family members we bring in. Now for your depressed dog with anxiety, we now give our dog CBD for his, and it has been amazing. His anxiety's are gone and a bonus, his stiff legs and back are better too.
Would you like your digits all cut off at the first joint? Please do some research. I have a big s curved card board scratcher that I put catnip on. I use plugin comfort zone and trim their nails myself. You could just take your cat to a groomer or your vet to have his nails trimmed.
I only know of one Black Mountain VCA and that's on Boulder in Henderson
I have no idea how much but they work with your income. Before putting my cat down a year later they only charged my mom 5 bucks to check her out and give medicine. They are so kind and actually care. Call and talk to them they should work something out with you.
It ranges between $100 and $150. I'm sorry to hear that. Poor baby cat.
The best way to find out is simply call them. Doesn't hurt.
I have no clue if they do. You should call them.
If its the first time taking your pet to VCA, click the link for their website and you can get the first exam free Brandy. https://vcahospitals.com/free-pet-exam
No, they use a cremation service company.
They Do lizards I know. doctor Wynn specializes in reptiles ask for doctor Wynn Here's a specialist for the reptiles he also owns Black Mountain hospital.
I previously gave them a good review but need to revise it. I would do some research to see what other vets are available who have good reviews on this topic. It's important to get the help your pet needs and my experience with my cat at VCA has been very disappointing. She has extreme fear aggression and can't even get a regular vet exam unless she is sedated. I've been going there for at least 3 years for regular grooming and not once have they mentioned treating her anxiety. Yet, in their website they mention that they do deal with behavior issues. So please look at other options then VCA.
