You will spend a lot of efforts to get you expected things running with this apartment, their staff is not functioning properly. I experienced many indifferent and nonfunctioning staff personnel from this apartments of Essex. Although the management of the apartments announced through the email that this appartments has a Community Relationship Management team of 3 members available to resolve the issues the residents facing, but it is quite often, there is no staff available to take the call, frequently what you meet is the phone is ringing and nobody is attending it and finally it get to the voice message. You are in panic that it seems nobody is caring about the request or issues you are facing and you are in needs.

Apartment is reasonable. Bathroom fan can't be turned off, and service would not fix it. Heater periodically stops running and I had to buy an additional unit myself. They offered me a lease renewal and after I signed that, they wanted me to sign a different lease. When I said I already signed, they said well you can sign the one we want or you can move out, we are not forcing you to sign

Have rented here nearly a year and certainly won't be renewing a lease with this or any other Essex Properties. I was accidentally double charged by the payment system online for this company and when I went to the rental office to discuss it I was dismissed by a clueless manager who didn't have any bright ideas about what they could possibly do to make it right. Heres a tip: 1) Contact the tech support of your third party vendor who processes payments and credit the person's account to make the error right 2) Follow up to find a root cause and ensure it doesn't happen again with another resident in the future. Further, I finally had enough of her being defensive and trying to push the blame onto me so I left the rental office. I was then followed out the door and verbally accosted at that point by the visibly angry rental manager. VERY PROFESSIONAL. Really well done! *slow clap* The rent for a studio here at the higher end of their spectrum is well in excess of one bedroom apartments elsewhere, and there's nothing special about this place compared to others. For instance, given the recent storms we've had I'd expect large downed branches to be cleared out of the main walkways by maintenance crews or landscapers. Not so at Corbella! They don't bother with that sort of thing, leaving large downed branches on walkways for DAYS for residents to deal with or perhaps the child of a resident to run around the corner and trip over. Management has left the grounds here an absolute mess for the better part of two weeks and that fact was not lost on a friend of mine who has recently moved out EARLY and was willing to pay the last two months at two complexes just to get out of here (he has also had WONDERFUL experiences with the management staff here). I'm not sure what has happened to the management here lately in comparison to other reviews, but I strongly suggest you look elsewhere. Management here doesn't care a thing to double charge you rent and then blame it on you instead of being helpful and trying to fix it, they leave the grounds an absolute mess, they hire shady construction crews who mean mug the residents and make them feel uncomfortable (There's your budget proposal for a crew, nice call!) and you can expect long wait times to do simple things like fix the same washing machine that's in literally every studio in this place. Maintenance: "Oh this happens all the time with these units, it's just a small part" Me: "Do you have the part?" Maintenance: "No we're all out I used them on other units." Me:"Did you order more" Maintenance: "No" (Then called later to let me know he had ordered them and it would be a week before the arrived) So! You used them on other units, you know it's a common problem that occurs frequently and you didn't order any more parts . . . Hmmmm. Thanks dude! I'll just do my laundry at a laundromat for a whole week while I continue to give you my hard earned money for things you're not delivering to me :) Much appreciated! Corbella management is terrible, spend less money somewhere else for more or the same floor space at a better price point per square foot. If I could afford it I'd vacate this complex early and move somewhere else and just pay out the rest of the lease. Worst renting experience I've ever had.

I lived here for 5 years and I loved it. The admin staff and the maintenance staff were friendly and very helpful. I would recommend it highly to anyone.

Select Essex communities offer homes that may be considered rent controlled. Availability and leasing terms are subject to change at any time. Essex also offers below-market rent (“BMR”) programs at select communities. While this is not a rental assistance program, BMR units may be available to residents who qualify based on their annual household income and the number of individuals living in their household. To determine if the community you are interested in offers BMR options, please contact the leasing office for more information.
