We placed my mother here almost a year ago. We have found the staff to be very helpful and caring. Jessica is extremely good to my mother and is always professional with a great sense of humor. We are happy with the laundry services and the cleaning staff. My mother does grumble about the food, but I would say it’s comparable to other Assisted Living facilities. The dining room staff are very friendly and helpful. The facility is clean and they frequently make improvements to keep the appearance up to date. August, 2022 they installed new flooring in the dining room. They have Bingo and other activities that residents can participate in if they choose to do so. My mother mainly stays in her little apartment. The staff are really good to stop in and visit with her frequently. I visited several Assisted Living facilities before deciding on The Gardens. It’s not perfect but seems to be meeting my mother’s needs at this point in her life.

HIPAA violation of leaving confidential patient info open on computer screens in hallways. Also, super sticky gross floor in dining area….reminds me of a bathroom where someone peed all over the floor but was not cleaned up.

We moved my mother there in September 2020 and gave them our 30 day notice exactly one year later in September 2021. They raised her rent twice in 2021. We also found out the extra $2500 that we put down in September 2020 was a community fee and non-refundable. So while we paid A fairly expensive rental fee we also essentially gave them an extra months rent for free as my mother did not use the pool or whatever else the community fee was for

Questions & Answers

What is the cost of assisted living for one person?

Christine Bynum | Nov 5, 2019
Connie Garrison | Nov 5, 2019

The cost is determined by what kind of apartment that you would want. All the services are included in that price. The cost for a private apartment starts at $4070.00 a month for a studio and goes up to our largest private apartment - a 1 Bedroom deluxe which is $5060.00 a month. Do you have any other questions? I would love to have you come and tour our community.

It wouldn’t be home without your furry, finned or feathered friend. We encourage residents to bring their faithful companions, and we offer referrals for services such as dog walking.

Do you charge a flat fee or are there hidden costs and extra fees?

We offer a variety of resources and financial options to help assist seniors and their families to be able to afford the retirement lifestyle that meets their expectations. Our fees are easy to understand, and never hidden. Independent living condominiums are a flat-rate monthly fee that includes utilities (except cable, phone and internet), as well as access to our social and wellness programs. The independent and assisted living apartment monthly fees include: restaurant-style dining, laundry and maintenance, activities and wellness programs, and some transportation. We also proudly offer a flat fee for our memory care apartments. Finally, we do not charge additional level of care fees for our assisted living or memory care communities.

Does The Gardens work with someone with dementia (or Alzheimer's disease)?

The Gardens Assisted Living and Memory Care | Nov 4, 2021

Yes. Seniors in the beginning stages of dementia may be most comfortable in our assisted living community. Those with more advanced needs may find our memory care community a better option. Our memory care community provides the most intensive care and supervision, as well as specialized activities to engage our residents’ minds. We offer both private and semi-private apartments in a 24-hour secure environment. Our compassionate staff works with each resident and family to create an environment where residents can succeed and thrive while maintaining as much familiarity as possible.

Our goal is to provide a stimulating environment where residents get to know each other and our team by name.
