There are a variety of location to choose from. It’s a bit more limited due to COVID shutdowns, but some options include inside the monuments, a museum, a cafe, or a nice hotel lobby.
So many great spots in DC and neighboring areas! The National Mall and monuments of course, but also the National Arboretum, Theodore Roosevelt Island, Georgetown, The National Cathedral, and my new favorite, the Tregaron Conservatory.
There are a lot of places in Washington DC where you can propose! Some of my favorites are the Jefferson Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Kennedy Center, DC War Memorial, Meridian Hill Park, and the Jones Point Lighthouse in Alexandria. I like to keep everything casual. I provide very light direction so you won't be forced to pose in unnatural ways. There will be banter and real laughter. It's essentially an awesome adventure where someone just happens to be taking photos. Couples routinely tell me that their anxiety quickly disappeared and that they had a lot more fun than they expected to.
