Was very ill and confused. Missed any meals because the one I was going to eat we had to sit in the outer door on the floor to eat and I knew I wouldn't be able to get up again. Bad atmosphere. I'd rather be in jail.

The treatment by employees here is horrendous. Elderly women are denied a place to lay down during the day and are forced to sit up in their walkers and wheelchairs all day long or on a hard chair as there are no couches. Also, employees had my service dog illegally removed when he did nothing wrong and I was in full compliance. Donations do NOT reach the homeless; they are sent to the thrift store to be sold for profit. Furthermore, people are forced to sleep on mats when there are plenty of beds open upstairs.

There is a 7:30 p.m. curfew here but it's open 24 hours you can come anytime I called ahead to see if they're openings and there were you cannot have a pillow which is probably the hardest part for me but they help you find subsidized housing and that is what I keep my eye on that prize.

St. Vincent residents dont receive donations...ever. The employees take first pick; and the rest is shiped to good will , to be sold. I was a resident for six months; so I know.
They get many donations of clothing and footwear, yes. Also try Charitable Union https://www.charitableunion.org/help/special/boots.html
They give receipts for donated items. I have always brought donations to their location. You might call them about picking things up from you. Your tax adviser can evaluate the receipts for tax deductions, but I cannot offer tax advice. 😎
Not as far as I know. The shelter is near a bus line. Call them. They may be able to send someone.
The shelter has many guests and room for more. Last Wednesday we served about 75 during the first seating for supper, single ladies. They were preparing to serve about 90 at the 2nd seating for families. There are other shelters for homeless single gentlemen in the area. The shelter has a capacity of 220. So, about 75% full right now.
