This location is terrible. Prices are higher than new. Seriously. Totally insane management. What is 19 dollars at st Vincent DE Paul is literally hundreds at this habitat.

Well just sent my sweet non conflict husband to drop a couch off because we are down sizing since he is being deployed soon. The donation drop off woman SCREAMED at him and his friend that they weren’t pulled up enough to drop off the couch. She could’ve just asked nicely. Absolutely disgusting behavior. Especially to soldiers and their families just trying to help others by donating. They wouldn’t take the couch bc it has fuzz pills for anyone looking to donate. It’s a year old havertys couch with no stains. Horrible behavior. Calling corporate next.

I found their selection to be the best of the Pierce County stores, the staff was also the kindest. A little aggressive with trying to sell things to you, but kind. I was also surprised at the price range, I expected a little better quality at a little better price for what their mission statement is. I prefer to support Habitat over Goodwill though & will continue to do so as long as the prices justify it.
Dialectics Light
Purchased 7 light fixtures for a prop at under $100. Loved it. The return policy for electrical is a little short though. Don't mind the return only with receipt but one fixture did have a broken ballast and I didn't find out until after 7 days so that was total loss. Maybe extend to 14 days.

You can find eligibility guidelines on our website: https://www.tpc-habitat.org/habitat-programs/homeownership/eligibility-requirements/. We also have a list of homeowner FAQs that may help: https://www.tpc-habitat.org/habitat-programs/homeownership/homeowner-answers/#4
Theresa, check out our website for eligibility. https://www.tpc-habitat.org/habitat-programs/homeownership/eligibility-requirements/ Though we sell houses at appraised value, Habitat homeowners do not pay more than 30% of their gross income for their mortgage. This is accomplished through layering of funding - including mortgage and down payment assistance (DPA) from local jurisdictions. The amount of DPA available is home-specific and can range from $15,000 to $75,000 - depending on the location of your future home. If accepted into our homebuyer program, a house match will be made to a development and home based on the information you provide and the locations in which we are building. Often a house match is dependent on the price of the home in a given neighborhood, your ability to pay the mortgage that is required for that property, the amount of down payment assistance available, your location preference/house availability, and your household’s gross annual income.
Yes, you can visit our website to see what items we can take at thehabitatstores.org
It is my understanding Habitat for Humanity does accept donations of furniture as far as pickups you would have to contact them sorry
Our stores carry new mattresses and often have bed frames in stock (donated goods).
Thanks for the question, Charlotte. Donated items are sold in our Habitat Stores and the revenue funds our programs, including homeownership, repair and foreclosure prevention.
Holly, you can learn about our Aging in Place repair program on our website at https://www.tpc-habitat.org/habitat-programs/repair/. There you will find eligibility and information about the intake/application process.
The Tacoma store carries them, yes. You can get real-time inventory updates by calling the stores at 253-779-8149. Thank you for thinking of us!
No. At this location, we have a our Habitat Store and our administrative offices.
We do not. Maybe the Tacoma Rescue Mission?
I'd you go to our website you can see the qualifications and processes at www.tpc-habitat.org
Thank you for your interest in our homeownership program. You can review eligibility for our program at https://www.tpc-habitat.org/habitat-programs/homeownership/eligibility-requirements/. If you think you're a good match, the first step is to attend an information session; we have two coming up in January and two in February.
We ask that each of our volunteers attend a New Volunteer Orientation before their first shift. (http://www.tpc-habitat.org/what_you_can_do/volunteer/new_volunteer_orientation.html) Once you've attended an orientation and completed a background check, you'll be invited to our online volunteer calendar. There you can register for shifts - on the build sites or in our stores.
They do furniture pick ups. They can be picky on quality though.
They won't take it if it's scratched up, or super industrial.
They do pick ups anywhere in Pierce county.
They don't.
No, they don't take any baby furniture
Yes, they do.
