The WORST HOSPITAL EVER. Walked in with a severe allergic reaction, covered head to toe in hives. Eyes and lips swollen. Difficulty breathing. And was made to sit in the waiting room for 2 hrs. When the nurse came to (triage) me, moving at the pace of a snail, I was then told to sit in the waiting room again, struggling to breath. I will NEVER be back and wouldn't suggest this hospital to my worst enemy. I should have known. Was here a little over 2 yrs ago and because of their drive and motivation (NOT) Sat in a room all night for nothing not even checked on.... To the point I left and had my wife take an iv out when I got home. I will be dying at home from now on before going back there. Nurses could care less either. Save your time and money and go somewhere else.... These people could care less about you.

Literally waited 7 hours and got no info and they refused to let me get an IV I no longer needed taken out of my arm and threatened to be kicked out if it did get taken out

I came to Mercy ER after being sent home and told I “probably have a virus or something, go home and take some Tylenol” at Meadowview Regional Hospital ER (Maysville). I was very noticeably ill and in pain with a fever of almost 105F. As soon as I walked in the door at Mercy, I was sent straight back by the receptionist to a guerney where I was immediately greeted by the ER doctor (Dr. Gaydos). He immediately knew what was wrong and started me on antibiotics for sepsis and ran several other tests. The ER nurses and dr. were all kind and prompt despite clearly being very busy. I was admitted and stayed for 4days. In this time, I had a different nurse every shift, and every single one of them provided excellent care to me and were very friendly despite seemingly also being extremely busy. Dr. Bacanurschi was everything I could’ve asked for in a doctor- incredibly professional, confident, intelligent, positive attitude, and very thorough. He treated me with respect and never once talked down to me as if I were a child or an idiot (which I can not stand) but still explained everything he did and why very clearly. I am typically a bit untrusting of doctors as I have had several negative experiences in the past and I was very relieved and grateful to have been able to just relax and trust that I was in competent, caring hands. I have no complaints whatsoever with my visit to this hospital and am very appreciative of the excellent care I received there.

Agree. I'm combing through the patient information pack they gave my Dad when he was admitted. I have some nurses I want to brag on but overall, our experience wasn't the best. I'm writing a letter to be addressed to different departments, as well as feedback to his Surgeon who had to use these hospitals to operate on their patients.

Why did they refuse to test for the thallium I said I was exposed to then refuse to prescribe the nontoxic antidote radiogardase for it when I asked about it.

Unfortunately those are tests that require a doctor's referral and prior approval from insurance company which is not in my opinion how it should be. I was exposed on active duty and the tests and treatment weren't done until years later once the damage was done, so I understand your frustration
