Do not use this business!,, I was a customer for decades but as of tonight we are cancelling. I walked out the door tonight with the alarm on (oops) and the alarm went off. I waited 10 minutes and called the monitoring center. They had dispatched the police!! When we go out of town, we notify the local office and give them our children’s local numbers. That was months ago. The employee we have communication with got our emails of the changes (we kept all correspondence) —- and we even talked on the phone. Yet, she just couldn’t get it right. We had this service for years when they were the only Dayton area security business that had local technicians and local monitoring. We kept them out of loyalty even after they merged into a national monitoring center. Loyalty only works so far and we are done. There is no difference any longer between this business and an out of the box, install it yourself technology you can get from Amazon or Best Buy. Do. Not. Use. This. Business!,,,

Don’t sign up with them. You can never drop them. They won’t come out and remove their system. I want to drop my landline, but I can’t because if I do I will have the annoying beep from their system notifying that there is no phone connection. It is a very lousy company to keep you captive.

After our first month of billing we found a rear door wide open and no alarm sounded or alerted anyone. No system on the rear door I was told by the police. Protector Security was happy to take our money for monthly billing but didn’t feel it was their responsibility to make sure that the system worked. After a phone call to discuss this issue and voice my frustration, the owner hung up on me. Bad business. Contacting the bbb and asking for a refund.
