Check in - smooth. Room - clean and fresh, desk but no sitting area (lovely seating in the lobby), bed comfy, pillows soft and scrunchy. Parking garage - limited spaces, but plenty available in the adjoining garage Breakfast and snacks - nice Staff - friendly, helpful Area - lots of great food and pub choices, right next to Target Field (Minnesota Twins)

Stayed here for 9 days/8 nights and LOVED it. It's right on the edge of gentrification, BUT you need your room card to get into the building, whether from the front lobby or the parking garage. I made friends with most of the front desk clerks, and a few of the other guests as it was dog friendly (HI LOUIE!). I will forever recommend this place as it was utter perfection. They even had rooms available to accommodate Deaf/hard of hearing individuals. Close to tons of restaurants, within walking distance to the Nicolette Mall, and the light rail station is just around the block.

The element is great and in a nice spot right downtown, in walking distance of places to eat and drink, and of course the target field. I read several reviews regarding the poor attitudes of the staff, but went out on a limb and booked the hotel anyway. The reviews were not wrong. We requested early check in, but apparently so did everyone else. So we were understanding about it and went and killed some time. When we came back the lobby was full and the staff were clearly overwhelmed and literally one guy was huffing and puffing at the customers. With eye rolls and everything. The front desk people are the first people anyone is going to see when you walk into a hotel. They are the face of your company. Customer service is everything, along with cleanliness. When we got back around midnight, we were greeted so kindly by the guy working overnight and we made sure to tell him that he was a pleasant surprise from earlier. Besides that, the place was very clean. Checked out the next morning. The staff was still very overwhelmed by the people. But there should be some extra training in my opinion. For it being an 8 story hotel, there will be times where they are completely full and the staff should still be able to be prepared and make the customer feel welcome.

AMAZING LOCATION AND GREAT HOTEL Pros: Location location location! Great location if you are going to anything at the Target Center or Target Field. Extremely easy to get to from the Airport, the Blue Line runs right next to it, and you have to maybe walk 15 steps outside (I went in winter, so that was important) until you can get to an elevator that takes you to the parking deck of Target Field, and then from there you walk into the parking deck for the Element. Great service, very friendly staff, and awesome breakfast. The rooms were nice, comfortable, and new. Probably the best hotel I've stayed at in the last couple years. Cons: Although the accessibility to Target Field and the Blue Line is great, be watchful because the homeless definitely take advantage of the heated waiting areas where the elevators are. They aren't near the hotel, but if you plan on using those areas just be aware. I left for the airport at 5 in the morning, and there were about 7 homeless people in each area (first and second floor) this obviously leads to not a super clean place. Nothing the hotel can do, but just thought I would point it out in case there were families that planned on using it.
