I have lived at The Marshall for the past three years and have nothing but great things to say. Everyone on the staff is so friendly and always willing to help. When my roommate broke our microwave the amazing maintenance staff was out just two hours later to give us a brand new microwave. The staff in the leasing office is always planning fun activities, give aways, and or food stations for each month that I believe sets The Marshall apart from other apartments in the area. My dog has also loved all the space he gets to run around outside in the multiple courtyards that The Marshall has. As a student it has been so nice to have my campus and multiple food places just a short walk away, which has saved me lots of money on gas. I would highly recommend living at The Marshall!

As a former resident, believe they did their best with the conditions they were given in my situation. I wish I could have given them a five star, unfortunately I felt my issue was still unjustly difficult to fix,(despite many efforts on my end), so much so I did end up paying more than I felt was deserved, in efforts to be accepted elsewhere. I felt compelled to leave a review since the fee cause quite a bit of financial hardship on me during a time of low income and the issue was never brought to my attention by them, despite their one and only attempt 2 years ago.

I was a summer sub-leaser and they didn't give me a move-in condition form so there was no way for me to prove that there were already existing damages in the common area before I moved in. In the end, they charged me the damages and I have no way to defend myself! I felt like I was being set up! They couldn't provide me the proof that they have given me a move-in condition, and they continued to blame me that I was the one who didn't turn it in. Not to mention, I called the front desk and the lady said sub-leasers don't get a move-in condition forms in the first place, so how I can I be accused of not turning in a form that I don't even get in the first place! The front desk workers are college students so a lot of times they have bad attitude. I also lived in a loft apartment and the ventilation is horrible because no matter how low you set your temperature to, the top floor is always hot and there is nothing you can do to fix it.

Truly the worst living experience I could have ever imagined! When signing a lease with 3 other roommates for a 2Bx2B apartment,The Marshall decided to send two of us a lower rate than the other two, and solved that issue by sending us all new leases for the higher price. I should have known then! When we moved in, we discovered water damage/mold under our kitchen sink as well as our dishwasher was broken. However, The Marshall refused to take responsibility for not checking our appliances prior to our move-in. The Marshall's wifi went out very often, the computers in the lab are incredibly slow and none of them printed except one if you are lucky, if you live by the courtyard you will hear dogs barking at every time-- day or night. One of our bathrooms in our apartment was flooding from roof water damage for weeks without telling us if it would ever be fixed. I ended up being charged for "damages" that did not exist and the extreme poor communication between their office staff and their residents (minus if you are student athlete, of course) is disgusting knowing that their residents are college students. The "convenience" of having a Target below is not worth it. Parents and students, save your money and your overall well-being, DO NOT LIVE HERE!
