Pulled up at 9:15 AM, waited less than 5 minutes, 5 minutes to unload -- I had a lot -- and I was on my way. They leave your boxes in your trunk, so you can bring stuff in bins you want to keep. The attendants were very polite.

Keep in mind, the Recycling area including electronics, is provided to and managed by an outside contractor. The City provides periodic assistance to the contractor with loading trucks and moving large items. This has nothing to do with the household hazardous waste site. Those are City employees who are specially trained to identify and properly handle hazardous materials. The person(s) at the recycling site, even though right next door, are not trained, are not City employees, and by law can not take or handle any hazardous material. So it indeed makes perfect sense. A little fact searching before reviewing or complaining could easily explain what many would consider an inconvenience.

They took oil based paint at no cost when I brought some in to Hazard Waste Recycling (they do not accept it at Electronics Recycling).
yes but... FEES – ALL TVS, CRTS, FLAT SCREENS AND MONITORS Under 21 inch screen = $25 per unit 21-inch screen and over = $35 per unit
call Groot to arrange a pickup time. they charge E-Waste Collection Pricing TV under 50 lbs.: $35 TV over 50 lbs.: $50 Bundle of small electronics: $35 TV under 50 lbs. plus bundle: $50 TV over 50 lbs. plus bundle: $70 but if you take them to this recycling center. The city does not charge for recycling most electronics except TV or monitor etc. there is a charge for the exceptions.
It is 7-3, weekdays only, for Electronics. The other commentor is likely confusing this with Naperville's weekend Hazardous Waste Recycling Program.
Oh my, it seems they would be worth something to someone... so special :) Are you still looking to get rid of them?
yes
You just have to go at the designated times at the location off of fort hill Dr. to drop it off for free
there is a fee for tv and monitors FEES – ALL TVS, CRTS, FLAT SCREENS AND MONITORS Under 21 inch screen = $25 per unit 21-inch screen and over = $35 per unit but others are free
