These apartments made Pittsburg even more repulsive. By far the worst conditions I have ever experienced. Unfortunately, the apartment above me and my roommates was terribly neglected, and as a result we endured an enormous cockroach infestation, along with our fair share of mice. Management was always difficult to reach, and the information office was never utilized. As far as upkeep goes, one handyman fixed our disposal and brought his own jar of bug spray, rather than management hire an actual pest control company. No one actually seemed to care about the condition of these apartments. I left before the lease was up because it was so awful. Without a doubt do NOT recommend!!!

So, this is by far the WORST apartment complex we’ve ever lived in. My husband is military and unfortunately we’re in Pittsburg, KS for the next 3 years. We found it pointless to buy a home and we know for a fact that this is a place that we will not come back to, so we decided upon an apartment. This wasn’t our first choice, but our first choice wasn’t available when we needed it. Anyways, I am rating this 1 star because the apartments are poorly kept. Upon moving in it looked as if our apartment had not not been inspected after the previous tenants moved out. The dishwasher had used utensils left in it. There are large noticeable holes in the bedroom doors. The carpet is stained throughout the entire apartment. The paint job on the cabinets and countertops are sloppy. Not to mention, we are responsible for buying and changing the air filters for the air and heating unit. We’ve lived in 3 different apartments and never did we have to change the air filter. Maintenance always did it for us. We had a spider issue, and I asked for pest control to come out and spray since that’s their job, you know and I was told to buy some sticky traps. We had a leaking toilet, but it wasn’t flooding but it was enough to fill a container up. No one came to fix it until a week later. They don’t offer any amenities other than a raggedy play ground that is mostly flooded due to the rain. Two grills and a gazebo that is always surrounded by trash. We bought our kid a kiddie pool and sat it in front of our door. It didn’t block our neighbors way and no one complained. A few weeks we get a text saying that we weren’t allowed to have pools. This whole place could just some work. For crying out loud, they have a freaking refrigerator sitting outside of the building that use to be the leasing office. That’s the first thing you notice when turning in. This place has potential. It just needs people who actually care about it and the living experience of their tenants to take care of it. It’s obvious these owners only care about getting your rent money and nothing more.

I love how affordable these apartments are. Unlike other Section 8 housing I've ever dealt with, these apartments do not feel like Section 8. They are well-maintained and staff and neighbors have always been a pleasure to deal with. Because of the positive experience I had living in these apartments, my fiance and I are looking to rent one again along with our three children. Highly recommended for anyone looking for affordable living within a certain income, particularly affordable living that is CLEAN and MAINTAINED PROPERLY!
