Hi there- we are open by appointment only right now, in order to limit occupancy and keep clients socially distanced. Masks are worn at all times by employees and clients. Employees wash hands regularly and disinfect surfaces between clients. We have the store professionally cleaned twice a month for added security. Hi Angela. Yes, we do resize bracelets, but would need to see it in person to determine the feasibility and cost. Some bracelets can be shortened with a simple cut and solder, whereas others require more complex work. Lengthening them is more complex, since we either need to make or order links that match the existing piece, then determine how to seamlessly attach it. We are open Monday through Saturday 10-6 by appointment and would be happy to take a look at your bracelet whenever it’s convenient for you.

Hi Maria- we both by and sell jewelry, and specialize in fine colored gemstones. All of the stones we sell are natural diamonds and colored gemstones that we source ourselves. This is good and bad news for clients trying to sell their gems and jewelry. The good news is that we can identify anything, and know current market values, and will pay top dollar for items we want in our cases. However, the bad news is that it also means that we are very picky, and only purchase top quality, natural gemstones, in solitaire sizes, that will fit a niche in our inventory. That said, we are always happy to look at what you have, advise you as to its value, and make an offer where appropriate.

Yes. If you are simply curious about an items value, or are thinking about selling an item, our GIA-trained staff will look at it and give you a verbal appraisal at no charge. If you want to sell the item, we may make an offer to purchase it, depending on many factors (learn more here https://www.fwcj.com/we-buy-gold/). If you need a formal appraisal for insurance purposes or for an estate, we contract an independent gemological laboratory for these appraisals. This removes any conflict of interest and gets you the highest quality written document with an up-to-the-minute researched value of the item. These cost a small fee and take around a week to complete.

Hello Farooj- We do buy gemstones on a case-by-case basis. We look for gems that are natural, good quality, well cut, and that fit a need in our inventory. We are always looking for Alexandrite, so long as it has a strong color change and is not too included or foggy looking. Our appraisals are $115 and take one week (it is a Friday-Friday service). Feel free to bring in the original paperwork, as this can help us determine exact weights of the gems and/or diamonds set in the ring. We are also happy to look at other pieces you have and council you as to which items may be worth having appraised and itemized on your insurance- we give advice like this at no charge. Since there is a conflict of interest when stores both sell and appraise jewelry, our appraisals are done by a highly qualified and fully insured gemological laboratory that is independent of our store.
