Teacher of the Bible. Jack Koons
This very photo of their sign is online. I am an Independent Fundamental Baptist that stands on the King James Bible. As I walked in the door, I was able to see the man (that I was about to find out) is the Senior Pastor of the church, sitting behind his desk, with his feet propped up on his desk. He came to me and introduced himself as the Pastor. He was wearing a camouflage t-shirt and jogs. He told me he had just returned from a camping trip with the youth, and the morning message would be "very short". In time, we went to our adult Sunday school class where all the people were at least 55 years old. There were several King James Bibles on the table in the classroom; but the teacher was reading from the NIV. The teacher make an emphatic statement that he was NOT Once Saved Always Saved. Since I was not there to cause problems, I refrained from defending the Scriptural teaching of OSAS. This church is in serious trouble. It is neither Baptist, nor King James (as the sign says) ... that is specifically why I visited the church. I have no reason to believe the incoming Pastor has the training to bring this church through even the next 5 or so years. It goes without saying, unless there is no other church in the area, I would NOT return to this one.

The church has a family atmosphere and Pastor Chuck really cares about his flock and delivers interesting sermons.

Church has an older congregation that is very friendly. Former pastor is still there but not serving as pastor. Another man has been made pastor. We visited the church twice and was very disappointed in the “preaching” he read verses and then proceeded to do what I call add lib. As a former pastor myself it was very clear the man does no serious studying for a message. It is a church that is slowly going to die out. Because no new people are coming and it is an older group which means in time as some of them pass away there will be fewer people to help support the church, ,eventually causing it to shut its doors. Would ask people to pray for this church and that it’s pastor would get serious about teaching and preaching to the people before they all die off from spiritual hunger because of not being fed from the pulpit.
