I was looking for an intensive outpatient program that took Medicaid. While this center does not, they were extremely kind and helpful and were able to give me a list of resources from which I was able to find something that could work for me. The fact that they took the time to help me, even though it wouldn't benefit them directly, says a lot about their commitment to caring for people. Thank you Sandstone and Jeanna!

As a parent I would not recommend this program. Multiple reasons too many to mention but the staff has horrible communication (with each other & myself) which was an issue from beginning to end of my experience with them.

Lindsey is hands down the best therapist! She’s been something I never thought I’d find in another therapist after having to move states. I love sandstone and the genuine care they have for the people there. Lucky to have found them ❤️

Where should I send a family member who needs help physically withdrawing from drugs?

Tristan Marks | Nov 3, 2020
Sandstone Care Denver | Nov 3, 2021

Sandstone Care helps clients detox throughout our different levels of care. Our Colorado Springs Detox Center helps clients come down from the physical withdrawal symptoms associated with withdrawal. This is especially important for clients who have been engaged with alcohol because the effects can be very harmful and even lead to death if the detox process is not medically treated. Our detox program is for clients 18+. Additionally, 18-year-old clients must be high school graduates or have an equivalent certification. For teenage clients who require detox, we have two teen residential treatment centers. One in Cascade Canyon in Colorado and one in Chesapeake in Maryland. All programs are equipped with licensed and professional staff who can use medication-assisted treatment to help the detox and recovery process.

How do I know if I need inpatient care, day treatment or intensive outpatient? Will there be some sort of assessment?

Maria Laskel | Nov 3, 2020
Sandstone Care Denver | Nov 3, 2021

Yes, an assessment will be made to help determine the best treatment for you. An assessment at Sandstone Care involves one of our licensed clinicians, the individual considering our program, and their respective family member(s). The purpose of the assessment is to better understand an individual’s and family’s unique situation to determine the appropriateness of fit and which level of care is medically necessary. The assessment process is typically in person at our clinical offices and lasts 1.5 - 2.0 hours, with the majority of the time spent with our licensed clinician and the individual considering our program.
