Nice and clean beach with ample parking. It mostly crowded all the time and that's what's good about it. Restrooms are nearby by. Lifeguards on duty. Scenic views. You can watch sunset here peacefully.

Awesome beach! A bit rocky once you're in the water, but it's a plus to see the train pass by every 30min or so. Had a great time digging holes and relaxing in the sun. Parking was ample for the size of the beach and it wasn't crowded for a holiday weekend. Good bathrooms. Definitely recommend 👌🏽

Parking lot is right across the train tracks from the beach. It's nice to be close to your car. $15 for day use.. The coast train passes through about every 30 min or so (doesn't stop here). Beach can get crowded next to the parking lot, so plan on walking for a couple minutes to get space if needed. Sand is soft and makes pulling a cart difficult. Decent surf fishing spot if you move away from the crowd.

Magical place with beautiful scenery. There are easy access bathrooms and close beach parking. Parking is free after 6 pm.

Gary Bate is correct. No dogs allowed on the beach but you can take your dog on the trail.
Yes but not on the sand the park is on a hill you have to walk down to the beach
There are NOT camping sites at Calafia State Beach. But San Clemente State Beach (immediately south of Calafia State Beach) DOES have overnight tent camping spaces. http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=646
This beach is day use only with parking meters. Nextdoor is San Clemente State beach where camping overnight is permitted.
Not @ the beach itself... but surrounding areas
The state has many plans. The showers are operational.
