I saw Dr. Costanza for years prior to moving out of state. Once I returned to the area, I was happy to continue seeing Dr. Costanza so I made an appointment for my yearly check-up. Between the time I made the appointment to when I was seen, I had my first experience with poison ivy. At my appointment, I was planning to have my yearly exam as well as ask about the poison ivy. I saw the nurse and she said she wanted to focus on the poison ivy. Dr. Costanza entered, looked at my rash for about 30 seconds, confirmed it was poison ivy, explained how it works and wrote me a topical prescription and then started walking out of the room. She asked me when I would be available for my yearly screening, I stated "I was available now," since that is what my appointment was scheduled for. She literally said to me she was too busy WHILE walking out of the room already! I was so disappointed on how this was handled! Had I not had poison ivy, how would she have had the time to complete the yearly screening? Needless to say, I am highly disappointment in this appointment that I cancelled my follow up appointment and will not be returning to the practice even after being a patient there for years.
