Main Reservoir Park

This reservoir is right at west side of Kipling and north of Starbucks across the Kingsooper. There is parking lot to the west of Starbuck's, nice quite and easy walk. Good family walk as well as dog walk. West side walkway is nice shaded and great for summer, while the dam is the east side lineing Kipling with a great view into Denver downtown. Nice Fall color, and quit a few different birds pay visits here- Hering, Pelicans, ducks, hawks to name a few. With Starbucks right at south east corner, ( yes, walkway pass right by their drive through line). Grap a cup and enjoy the slow pace and view while at it. Specially the sunrise. Great fishing too.

Great little park in the middle of the city of Lakewood. Walked around the lake after lunch for a pleasant stroll. Very clean and well kept... calms the nerves.

Take a walk, and encounter all types of water fowl and wildlife. The most surreal encounter was once had with a prehistoric turtle. I call it the alligator turtle! A clash of wild nature with the Denver skyline along the trail--it's a beaut!
