We arrived at our room that was supposed to be non-smoking, only to have the entire room, linens, pillows; literally everything smelling like an ash tray 🤦‍♀️. It was so bad, I thought I would end up at the hospital because I started having breathing problems. As an asthmatic, I started wheezing and had chest pain. We opened the windows and I literally had to stuck my head out a couple times out the window to breathe. Good thing I was on the 1st floor or else I don’t think the windows would have opened.

Positive: The hotel was quiet and pleasant Negative: The TV , was small for the room. They need bigger TV would be nice. The breakfast was small, just a couple of items.

Not what it used to be for sure. Dirty, seriously slacking on the upkeep, the day staff were amazing, (front desk and housekeeping) night staff, not so much. We were woke up at about 2:00am with (Marijuana) smoke so thick you could see it in our room and the hall. No phone in our room, TV turned on but you couldn't change the channel (remote not synced maybe?) There was a GIANT hole in one of our beds were the springs were cut out or something (room 18) there were the previous people's belongings in the dresser, fridge and behind the bed, so it obviously wasn't cleaned, there was a microwave in one of our rooms, but not the other, same with the blow-dryer. Theyre breakfast? Something similar to Dole fruit cups (they were good) or granola bars and coffee. And it was DIRTY. I mean D.I.R.T.Y. There's was no effort made to be hospitable or even customer service oriented. I don't know what happened to this place, but I would definitely NOT recommend, actually, I'd do my best to persuade people to run in the opposite direction. Travel the extra few miles to Oneonta or Binghamton. This place was TERRIBLE.

This motel 8 is what a motel 8 is. There was nothing to special about it. The staff was friendly and helpful which was why I gave them 4 stars. The one thing I didn't care for was the hardware floor. The rooms were clean and tidy.
