Used to love bringing my kids here. It is close to moms house. and fun for a "last bit of sunlight" park now its a glorified picnic place, with only 2 swings.. The playground is no more... There's bathrooms, and ya theres beach access but the water is not clean... Especially when it gets hot outside. Its ses pool.. Also the snails are out of control.. My kids were swimming and thinking they found shells. Well they did but they were inhabited... And those flippin snails stunk sooo bad... I thought it was my kids from being in the water... No they were guna bring those foul beasts into my car. So glad I smelled it before they got in...

Very beautiful body of water with middle-class homes situated all along the banks. There is a park with area to bring your pets if you wish and a couple of enormous parking lots with tons of parking options. My advice would be to come on a day when the fog is low and take in all the majestic beauty. If your enjoying yourself a nice drive around the lake isn't a bad idea. Definitely a place to make memories you can look back on I know I made some now its your turn.

Nice little park, tons of open area and little beach area for kids and dogs to play in or launch a kayak. The lawn area is large but somehow is often flooded in all but the summer months. The event center is nice and though I haven't been inside, looks to be cozy and accommodating. Some trails off to the left side of the beach area provide a nice little hike and a fishing area as well. I come here often to run my rc boat and crawl some of the rocks by the entrance.

Beautiful lake, so picturesque. Especially at sunset. There’s plenty of parking, picnic areas, restrooms and a playground. That I would give 5 stars for. We came to check out the fishing, the fishing pier is very small and the area was chocked full of “seaweed” and algae. There’s no restrooms near the fishing pier. There are signs advising not to swim in the water due to the severe abundance of algae and if any fish are caught, to carefully clean them before consumption. Doesn’t seem to be a great area for catching fish either. Out of the dozen or so folks I saw come and go, no one caught anything. There is definitely some bites and nibbles, but thing else.

You can swim in it during daylight hours. There is no lifeguards tho and my friend Zerian Moore drowned here years back so please be careful.
Nope, you just have to cross a flat, grassy area. Some of the parking is a little closer than the rest, but it is all flat. Depending on where you park, the lake itself is between 50 to 100 yards from the parking area.
It's going to be very, very cold. Maybe to play in a bit but it's still cold water and a windy spot.
Yes
Yes for both. Remember that there is no life guard on duty.
