Coming from a city with an extensive parks and rec system that took pride in their spaces, Seattle P&R does not compare. The city of Seattle doesn’t maintain the grass, leaves, garbage, sidewalks, and homeless encampments. Watch out for needles while you’re at it. Don’t bother trying to alert them of a situation, they’ll just send you a generic email with no solution or contact.

The city park in Greenwood on Fremont Avenue North between 89th & 90th streets is inhabited by bums living in tents. I called the parks department -- you get a recorded greeting only. I then called the police -- they can't help unless a disturbance is reported. It is not a safe place for children to play.

Ballard Pool is currently being renovated. Not sure of the scheduled reopening.
Most pools are open today. Check the Seattle Parks and Recreation blog for the latest updates https://parkways.seattle.gov.
You'll want to contact your respective community center to find out if the instructor will be present and classes with resume as normal. If you need the contact info, please visit www.seattle.gov/parks The list of centers and their numbers are listed. Hope that helps!
