This is absolutely the worst, most unprofessional, lazy courthouse ever. It is not hard to see why the city is in shambles. The people that "work" there should be embarrassed, but I guarantee they're not. I simply wanted to pay a ticket and they sent me to a payment website that didn't allow me to pay the ticket. They were supposed to contact me in a week. That was over a month ago. As stated by many others, they don't answer the phone.

I’ve been calling since last week. Maybe a week and a half now. After paying off tickets and warrant, can’t get in contact with Shelby Mitchell even after leaving voicemails. I received a message from the court saying I needed to schedule a court date or my warrant would be back out. Even went to the courthouse to get this resolved and still was directed to call Shelby Mitchell again. Good luck to me. Could possibly have a warrant out again and license suspended.😒

They shake down business owners into buying them expensive cars.

If I could give 0 stars I absolutely would. I have a traffic ticket there, received it during Covid, the difficulty of paying a ticket through this courthouse is literally like doing Calculus with your eyes closed and heavy metal blasting in your ears at top volumes, with your instructor whispering the equations. Why are they so unorganized, why they have you leave a message on an answering machine to maybe call you back or not, like we are living in the 80's, I'm not sure what era they are living in but they are ridiculous and impossible good luck if you EVER get a ticket in this city. Yikes

They are open to some services, but most of activities are conducted via online
No. You need to go to Wayne County Circuit Court at 2 Woodward Ave.
Now you can yes. The MI Supreme Court ruled that citizens can bring phones into any/all courts. Just make sure to have it on silent or turned off while you are inside the court.
