This “nursing home” is a disgrace! Let’s start off with their communication to the patients family… they wait until the last minute to call about any concerns, they aren’t thorough with follow up calls, and they “conveniently” “lose” or “don’t have” the phone number to reach out to. The numerous times we have visited our loved one, he was thin, skin was dry, and nails were long and had build up underneath them. They let an infection get out of control, he was not kept up well at all. The nurses attitudes did not make the situation any better. They are unprofessional and careless. When asked to take care of his nails and hair they told us we would have to bring in supplies and do it ourselves. The nursing home itself is run down.. should have known better! The condition inside and outside is subpar. It is not fit for anyone with health issues to be living there. If I could rate this place 0 stars I would..

What an excellent team of nurses and nurses aides! They are all very kind to me as well as their other patients. Very well organized and these people are dedicated to their jobs and their patients as well. If you're at home trying to figure out what nursing home is going to be best for you or your loved one DO NOT GO TO MISSION POINT OF ELMWOOD! That place is Satan's domain! Instead, come to Oakridge Manor. It's smaller and more like a home than an institution. I give these guys 8 stars if I could.

This is lengthy, PLEASE READ. I've been here since January 03, 2022. This is after I was illegally evicted from Boulevard Manor, another Pioneer Health Care Management facility. On December 22, 2022, I was physically assaulted and filed a police report on who was obviously a relative or friend of Darrell Henderson, the administrator at Blvd Manor. He had me sent to Detroit Receiving Hospital for a psych evaluation, which I passed. When I returned to Boulevard Manor, I was refused entry and returned to the hospital. (Ironically, I had an evaluation done at Boulevard by Dr. Sayed and passed; their own doctor's evidence I don't belong in a nursing home.) My guardian, George Heitmanis, didn't know where I was until December 27th, (against MCL statutes and not the first time Heitmanis Law Group didn't know where I was). They told the hospital to place me elsewhere (another MCL violation). Not knowing about Blvd Manor, I was placed in Oakridge Manor. I don't belong in a nursing home, they have written proof of this. Both homes are trying to commit health care fraud (which I've turned in to LARA). Neither Oakridge Manor or Boulevard Manor are/were capable of meeting my medical or dietary needs. I am continually fed food I can't eat (my roommate and I just got out of the hospital for food poisoning, this happened to others, also) and the doctors designated to the residents do not take care of their patients. All they care about is charging the insurance. I had Dr. Brooks at Boulevard, now I have Dr. Bazzi. His NP, June Argel refuses to give a prior authorization for a muscle relaxer along with prescribing an OTC lidocaine patch, neither which is for arthritis. Instead of calling my insurance with a prior authorization, she prescribed a different medication that when taken long-term causes TD. I had given the information to a nurse (who reeks of marijuana when she comes in late). I don't know if the doctor ever received it. There are CNAs here who do as little as possible (unless the state is here). I've seen residents sit in urine soaked clothes just to hear "I'll change you when you go again" or "Go eat lunch in the dining room and I'll get to you later". Right now the trash can in the bathroom is overflowing, the same CNA was working. Many times I've gone to take a shower and there's feces in the drain. This happened at Boulevard Manor (which has been closed due to failing LARA's regulations). Do your loved ones a favor: don't place them here or in any Pioneer Health Care Management facility. Check out the facility you want to use. Ask to see other rooms as nursing homes have a 'show room' that isn't used other than to give the impression that's what the residents live in. If you have Heitmanis Law Group for a guardian, get another. Between him and Judge Harrison, I have nothing left. Negative stars for both Pioneer HCM and Heitmanis Law Group.

This nursing home is terrible. My mom got bed sores that became septic and later died. I visited there it was elderly people sitting in there own feces and the staff allowed it to happen. I accidentally was given a patient record that had a decease. I wouldn’t wish this nasty place on anyone not even my enemy. If you can help it don’t let your love one go to the one in Ferndale, Mi if you have love ones that’s there please check on them….. you can tell they didn’t do rehabilitation or physical therapy she was so contracted and wounds was to her bones that had to be debried …. Again check on your love ones…hopefully the staff that work there in up just like they did her and the other elderly people 😕😠😡

I've never been told I couldn't come at any time. That being said, at 9 PM you have to buzz in and be considerate that all doors have loud alarms on them.
