today I stepped into a Birmingham police station, and spoke directly with officer Masiak who was extremely rude, and provided me with very limited information. I am an Uber driver and Birmingham Resident and a passenger left their phone in my vehicle, and I wanted to return the phone at the police department at which time the officer was completely rude about where it should be left and was very dismissive after his explanation. I then informed the officer that I was a Birmingham Resident and he said that doesn't matter the passenger is not a resident however neither one of us knows if the passanger who left their phone behind is a resident or not. Officer was extremely rude and unprofessional as a police officer. Do better in making citizens feel welcomed when they come to release a found item to your station. I asked for shift command at which time I was told that he is not available. My advice that this officer should not work with any Humans as he is not sensitive to people or it could just be Black people. Do better officer Masiak you made me feel like less than a person as I was attempting to do the right thing by returning a lost phone. I'm saddened by this ecounter.

They were extremely rude when taking back a parking ticket they issued falsely. The people there are public servants, they should at least act with kindness and courtesy to the public they allegedly serve. The fact that i was put down and made to feel lesser than because I questioned them is unacceptable.
