I would highly recommend Independence Square Appt. The staff is professional are always ready to help with what ever needs to be done. The apartments are roomy and clean. Lake living is wonderful. Can't get that view just anywhere!!

They pay to remove bad reviews from apartments.com, that is why they have such a good rating there but not on Google maps. The front buildings are kept up and look nice, the rest have doors that don't fit the frames and never shut right. Unkempt plants and flower beds, beer cans all over the grounds. Regularly hear people yelling/fighting at midnight, late night partying. The dumpsters can be shared by up to 3-5 buildings and are always overflowing towards the end of the pickup cycle. Management straight up lies to you about what they can and cannot fix until you look up the relevant building/renters code. Jacked up rent 10% during the pandemic because of "market rates" but this is NOT a market rate complex, luxury units are only 80 dollars more. Management never returns phone calls unless it pertains to paying your rent. Water is very hard/I am getting way more hard water spots now than when I first moved in. Some units have new carpet/appliances/cabinets but most are very old and outdated. Lots of bug issues but "We checked and didn't see anything" regardless of all the dead bugs and spiders in the landings, plus most of them absolutely reek of smoke. This is not a "market rate" complex, I highly recommend you look elsewhere.
