I've been taking private lessons here for 3-ish months now (with May Qiang) and it's been a BLAST. PopRox caters to a wide range of people and skill levels/abilities. Kinsey Litton, one of the co-founders, was very responsive to getting me set up with an instructor/class. Everyone is super friendly and they have created a truly welcoming and accepting environment. As a fat/queer woman, I feel accepted and comfortable to express myself without judgement! - seriously I can't hype PopRox up enough!

My 12 yr old daughters have been going to PopRox for about nine months and they love it! The teachers are great and really work well with the kids. The space (and people) are very welcoming and provide a great environment to learn and have fun. I was concerned at first about finding nearby parking, but for being in the middle of the U District finding parking has been surprisingly easy. In a pinch I park at Trader Joes and do some shopping while the kids dance!

Old PopRox- fun but small. New PopRox- more classes, more instructors, a welcoming space of their own. A dance facility specializing in classes for kids and a growing adult menu. While PopRox has always emphasized fun, belonging, and learning, having a space truly their own has been such a growth point.

My friends and I attended a kpop dance workshop run by UW's The Kompany at PopRox and loved it! The space is clean and very aesthetic. When we first came in, we were warmly greeted by the owner who welcomed us in and made us feel right at home. They were incredibly friendly and kind. After the workshop, I spoke with May who invited me to come in the next day to have the space to dance for an hour. I also emailed the Cathy and Kinsey to double check that this would be okay and they were quick to respond and inform me about their rates and other available days. I'm very excited to continue doing business with them and I would definitely recommend a class, workshop, or this space for dancers at any level!
