Used to be an easy place to roll into with the family upstairs. My boys could watch sports and the bartenders were great serving the tables — in and out and never a wait. The manager made it 21+ upstairs after 5:00 so I guess this easy option is now gone for us. I was wondering why there were only 4 regulars up there on a Friday at 5:30 when we walked in….🤷‍♂️

I've been to the MJs in Neptune a million times so I decided to come here tonight for dinner and watch the game. The bartender could not be any less interested in serving me or the others at the bar. I had to ask for a clean plate, napkins, and I am waiting, and waiting here at the bar for him to close me out. He's been in the back for about 15 minutes. I have absolutely no interest in ever coming here again. See the pic of the bartender. Oh, you don't? That's because he is not to be found!

MJs has always been a family favorite restaurant that I've been going to for years but the Tinton Falls location is probably the closest one to my house. It's got multiple floors and a beautiful outside deck that overlooks a waterfall. The staff is above and beyond friendly and accommodating and the food is always delicious. I've never once had something here (or at any other MJs location) that I was even slightly disappointed with. We went on Father's day and I saw that they had a new salad, the Kale and golden beet salad. I'm not the biggest fan of kale or beets but it also had craisins, goat cheese, and brussel sprouts which I love so I said eh why not let me try it. I added salmon with it and not only was it the most delicious piece of salmon I've had in months but the entire salad was incredible. Even the Kale and the beets. It was huge and I took half of it home, because it was kale and not a spring mix it wasn't wilted or soggy in the slightest the next day and somehow tasted better. Cannot wait to go back and get it again. Absolutely perfect meal from the appetizers to the complimentary desserts for father's day.

Service is ok, 2 of us ate from a burger and next day got non stop diarrhea. Prices are pretty high. Our food was cold not to mention we waited long for it. Don't think i will be coming back here.
