Staff very helpful. Establishment: clean. Inventory: good. Staff is all voluntary & very helpful. One of the most generous food banks in the state. Good job

I have gone to this food bank for years and have always had great experiences, such friendly staff/volunteers. We always leave with plenty of food to get my family through. However yesterday I had to deal with the one volunteer/staff member who has always been nasty to me as well as some others. She turned me away and said I couldn’t get food yesterday because my mail was not “good enough” my mail had my name and address on it and was the most recent mail I had. I asked her what was wrong with it and she rudely replied that she did not owe me any explanation. I was bawling as I left because my fridge and cupboards are bare and I have 4 children whom I have no way of feeding now. I’m thankful I had a couple good friends help me out but still shocked this nasty woman treated me this way and turned me away for reasons that make no sense to me. I did call and make a complaint and they apologized to me but I’m sorry that didn’t help with me having zero food for my family.

The people who run this place are amazing. Kind, helpful, and really good at not making you feel anxious for asking for help. They frequently run events to help you sign up for assistance like health care or the federal phone program. Visiting here for help or volunteering, I highly recommend them!

Questions posted here can be answered by the public as well as the Food Bank. You would have a much better chance of getting an answer by calling them directly.
The best thing to do is get the phone number and call to verify their hours as the website iis not always updated accurately.
They do close early. I suggest call ask if there is a drop off. I doubt it due to homeless maybe. Maybe weekends work too?!. Good luck
You can drop donations on Monday. Bring to the front door. Anything is appreciated.
I am not sure, they might accept it. Thanks for your generosity.
