This is by far the worst hospital I've ever been to. Every one I know who has been here feels the same way. I recommend going to a different hospital.

My sister was told that her Power of Attorney for our 84 year old father was irrelevant. The doctor told her that a Dr. can override a POA. She (the dr.) told my sister that it's up to a Dr. to find out what a confused older patient wants; not children who have POA. She asked my sister if our father even trusted her!! Why wouldn't he trust his own daughter?! Like he's going to trust this Dr.,who only cares about money over his family. Then a feeding tube was "accidentally " put into his lungs instead of his stomach. So the hospital killed him.

This is the worst hospital in Elgin rather go to Sherman they don’t treat patients like they should I will tell everyone not to go here

You never want to prepay a copay here. I paid the estimated copay and my insurance paid 100% because my out of pocket was met for the year. Five phone calls in and eight months later I still do not have my refund even though they say it was approved. What makes it even worse was my Dr. Never received the results of my 1st ekg and I had to have a 2nd one done.
