This was my first time trying Sal’s pizza. I ordered a 14” stuffed pizza - half cheese half sausage and mushrooms. I had not eaten pizza in over a month (good pizza in over six months) and this really hit the spot! The dough in the crust is crispy but soft, almost like a pretzel (just the texture not the flavor). There was just enough cheese and plenty of sauce on top. Kind of reminds me of a grandma style pizza (cooked in a pan, buttery crust, rectangle cut with the sauce on top and cheese underneath). I normally add oregano, finely chopped fresh garlic and a drizzle of olive oil to my pizza no matter where I get it from, but Sal’s is flavorful without it. Best pizza for miles and the Italians running it are nice.

Excellent pizza, prompt service, and extremely friendly to boot. I came here completely on a whim and was not disappointed. I am very much looking forward to coming back.
