I received a post card, for a court hearing, with no explanation what it is for? Would be helpful to know what the heck this is for?

You should probably change your phone message stating that you are not dealing with birth and death certificates at the moment, since it says ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about it being closed. Literally wasted my entire morning driving to this location to get my birth certificate only to be told that it was closed and that I could order it online. So not only did I waste my time and gas, I had to waste even more money to receive my birth certificate in the mail. Government agencies really need to get it together, especially when people are risking going out with Covid.

Their phone line doesn't work properly. Any option you choose it rings and hangs up or hangs up immediately.

Only if you got divorced there you have to go back to the court that you got divorced from to get it or you go to the Hall of Records wherever that's at

Do you know where your husband currently live? The first step is to come to the courthouse and get a divorce package. If you know where he lives, he will have to be served papers. If you don't know where he lives, you can still get a divorce based upon abandonment.

Who issued the ticket? Most municipalities write those tickets and you pay them directly, e.g. a seatbelt ticket written by a Palos Heights cop means you pay Palos Heights directly. Its a way for towns and villages to collect more $. If it was a sheriff, thats a different story

You have to go in front of a judge. No mailing
Why don’t they answer the phone I stay hours away and I can not just take time off to travel there I been calling for weeks I need a ticket paid but not able to do so because they don’t answer it’s crazy
