This is the best gym I've ever attended. Very affordable with lots of integrated services like childcare. They make it easy to stay fit.

Our main goal was to put our daughter into swim lessons which we paid for 1 on 1 up front. They would never schedule my daughter yet other people we spoke with at the kiddie pool were able to get scheduled right away. This went on for a few months, and many complaints later I decided to cancel and go somewhere else. We Never play this card, and I hate saying it but in this instance I believe it's true the swimming instructors maybe racist. we were also talked into a membership so we can use the pool when ever. Well the pool always has some kind of activity going so you could never use the pool. Same with the basketball courts and most of the facility. After this fiasco someone was supposed to call us and they never did. They just take peoples money and give false promises.

I've seen people in t-shirts, but I'm not certain about pool shoes.

Because they are poorly managed
They have swim lessons for all ages, 6 months old and up. They also have aqua arthritis classes as well as other water classes. I would talk to an aquatics supervisor and find out what would serve you best. Also, this Y is partnered with St. Mary's and has a physical therapy office inside. They also offer aqua therapy.
No, you can pay the daily rate to use the pool in the Wellness Center.
