Huge blueberry farm with a variety of different blueberry strains. It is 100% free. They are open from sunrise to sunset. I would not suggest going at dusk. We went in the evening as the sun was starting to set because it was too hot to take our little one (one-year-old) out during the 90°+ weather. Dispite the fact we had flashlights. We had trouble seeing/picking ripe berries. When we got back to the car there were spiders and other bugs in my basket. Plus I think I accumulated enough misquote bites to ensure their species for quite some time. Other than that it was great. I love that it is a free activity to do with the family and kids of all ages. Don't forget BYOB bring your own bag or basket for your berries. We had a great time and we will definitely be back in the near future (during the daylight of course).

First time here! Enjoyed the park very much, has plenty of shaded areas. Blueberries weren't quite ripe, but found a couple that were and of course they were delicious!

This is one of my favorite places in the Tacoma/Olympia area! We came today (7/26) and the blueberries weren’t ready yet. Correction (after an hour of picking): we did find some ripe blueberries, but most are not ready.

Blueberry park is a Tacoma treasure. The blueberry bushes usually have ripe berries around July, though they usually get picked over fairly quickly. The walking paths are very nice and there are shaded picnic tables on the south side of the park. The playground is small and is better for older kids, though the times we have been, it has been empty. There is also a community garden that looks well-used by its members.

No, NOT in June! Blueberries wont be ripe until late July, at earliest, and the peak season is August to October. One should arrive early in the day, to get ripe ones - they get picked by the bucket and disappear quickly The park is lovely until then, and hists community events
Yes go for the super dark ones usually darker they are the sweeter but don't hold me to it 😊
Yes and should be 4 weeks because there's still a lot of green ones
This incredible park, the vision of one incredible woman, is one of Tacoma's incredible assets. Don't miss it!
20 acres for public use. Currently there is some ongoing construction to build a children's play area.
Yes there's plenty of area's in the park to do videos. But just a warning some homeless and meth heads live in the Forest areas. So be vigilant when there.
Yes, but you probably need to walk in a ways, and go early... Its 10 acres, so there are still some left...
Actually I was there the last 2 days and their are some bushes that have a few not to many but a few. However the bushes ARE loaded with green berries. So hopefully we can get a couple good batches to take home before the early yearly harvesters get to them..
During the parks open hours but after its closed residents might report vehicles that are parked there and or police patrol area
There are lots of blueberries this year! The blueberries are just starting to ripen! I have seen people picking blueberries in just the last few days!
Not much. Still another week or so for most of them.
Only street parking at Blue Berry Park!
It's a park, has a trail throughout the farmed sections, also has a play area, picnic areas
It might not have been the ideal time to pick blueberries when you went.
Not so much.past season. :)
There are literally thousands of bushes. And there were some not quite ripe a week and a half ago and. So they might be ready for the picking now. Just an FYI they are a mini blueberry breed. They are yummy though
Yes
Id say give it a few more weeks. Normally End of July to about September is the best time. Even though some look ripe, they are still a bit tart.
