I had been reviewing the Roadmaster Suspension Kit with Shock Absorbers for over six months for my Jayco North Point fifth wheel travel trailer. After reviewing the installation instructions and videos, I considered the option of doing the install myself. It would require at least two twenty-ton hydraulic / pneumatic jacks, heavy-duty safety stands, an extra set of hands and at least two or three days having my Jayco North Point on jacks. Living in my Jayco North Point full time while in the Houston, Texas area made the self-installation completely impractical. Through the Roadmaster website, I located several local dealers and read the reviews on each. I only found one who had the volume of five-star ratings that made it the obvious number one choice - Master Hitch, LLC in Spring, Texas. I sent an email to Master Hitch explaining what I needed and received a reply the same day from Zach, one of the owners, which included a full quotation for parts, labor and tax. I called Zach and scheduled the installation. Zach did the installation personally. He is quite obviously a highly experienced and skilled technician and mechanic. Zach made the installation meticulously and properly torqued every fastener. Despite a few anomalies with installing this Roadmaster kit on my North point, Zach communicated with his Roadmaster representative and successfully completed the installation. Because of the anomalies that Zach experienced with the installation, I offered Zach my suggestion that he increase his quote to reflect the additional time that he invested in completing the installation. Zach would not increase the quoted price. He is simply a good family man, and a man of his word. I can’t yet give a rating on the quality of the Roadmaster suspension kit with shock absorbers, but I am confident it will perform as expected. This review is strictly about Master Hitch, LLC in Spring, Texas and the installation completed by Zach. After Zach completed the installation of the Roadmaster suspension kit, I hooked up my tow vehicle and immediately noted there was an error with the trailer connection. Zach immediately looked at all of the wire connections to the four trailer wheels to make sure that none of the wires became damaged during installation. Continuing his diagnosis, Zach determined that my trailer plug had become worn and defective. Zach spliced in a new plug withing ten minutes, and I was on my way. I’m 66 years old and remember the days when vendors strived to take care of the customer. That today seems to have become more of a rarity than the norm.
