Gone are the days of simple hospitality. I arrived an hour before closing and was the only patron in the shop. I visited to get a few upper body measurements for a winter coat that I would be purchasing from another retailer. Seeing as this other store isn’t a competitor to James & James I figured there wouldn’t be an issue. The sales associate told me the measurements would run $10. I couldn’t believe they wanted $10 for 60 seconds of work. What these businesses don’t understand is now when I need a rental tux, I’m going somewhere else. They had a chance to earn my future business by providing 60 seconds worth of measurements but insisted on nickel and diming their potential customers. I know I can go to Dillards and get it for free but I like supporting local businesses. Jokes on me I guess. I won’t be back.

I rented a suit on June the 9th and when l put the suit on it had a very pungent odor of arm pits. I called James & James but it was closed by that time; l had to buy Fabreze to spray on the jacket and shirt because the smell was so bad. When l returned the suit and complained they said they dry clean all their suits which didn't address my issue. They just said sorry and took the suit and walked away...don't waste your time and money there.
