COVID mask policy is irrelevant. You’ll need a respirator to breathe through the cloud of cigarette and cigar smoke. Just be aware of this before wearing something nice you’ll need to dry-clean later. If you want a hole in the wall dive bar this is your joint I guess but there are better spots with more character.

Shiela the bartender makes this place worth going to again and again. She remembers names and drinks after 1 or 2 visits and makes you feel special. The pretzel bites are amazing and the prices are great. The crowd is older and more laid back. Love this place!

The food is exponentially better than you think it will be when you first walk in. Staff and regulars are super friendly (I am already first-name friends with six or seven people here). And while the band playing tonight will probably never headline at Montreux, they are also friendly, enthusiastic, and competent.
