Washington Park has a wealth of things to do in any weather. You can walk around the park on the two-mile road or you can take any of the many trails. If you want to drive, there are many places to stop along the way to see the view. There is a boat launch, camping, and picnic areas. This is a very well-maintained park and a real asset for Anacortes.

Love this place! We stayed for 3 nights while our ferry to Alaska was delayed. We had quite a bit of snow one night but they were very quick to remove it and make the road safe.

This is a great spot to visit for the day. Plenty of trails to explore. You can also camp here. There are little spots to park and then walk onto a grassy area overlooking the water. There’s a little rocky beach area as well that you can take steps down to.

Lovely scenic drive, nonstop takes about 30 minutes. But you have to stop! The view draws you in. Views sweeping over the sound, you can watch the ferries pass each other. Picnic tables in grassy outcroppings, and flush toilets at the start of the loop. Makes for a lovely day.

14 days straight is max for Campground. Regular park area is day use only. Great place for family trip. Has kids park, fire pits, tables and bbq areas. Also great for hiking, lots of trails for walking or there is a scenic drive with plenty of places to park and picnic.
Yes to both questions. Trailer parking has a max duration of 14 days.
That is correct. Parking is free. I walk the road most weekends before they let traffic in and it's never cost to park that I know of.
You can go to the web site or Google Washington State parks camping areas
Yes
Yes they are, at leaat the provided rings near the boat launch are for sure.
No..there's a card machine where you pay for your spot on site after you find a space
All camp sites are in the forest it's a wonderful place . Shady and peaceful after the hustle and bustle of the more commercial campgrounds
Yes I prefer walking that way so I'm facing the cars as they approach so its safer and you reach the viewpoint area faster as well.
There are 68 campsites, 46 have water and electrical hook-ups. These rent for $27 a night. There are 22 non-utility sites that rent for $21 per night. There are 25 sites available on a first-come, first-served basis. Rservations must be made 14 days in advance. A sewer dump station is located near the park exit. Camping check-in and check-out time is 1 p.m. The campground is open year round. Maximum stay limit is 14 days.
About half the campground is dedicated to tents and small RVs (no hookus).
If not at the park, there is a neighborhood nearby, 1/4 to 1/2 mile, where you could park.
I'm pretty sure there is no fee if you have a Discovery Pass. As someone said above, the day fee is $9.00. A Discovery Pass is $30.00. Get the pass.
Yes, not sure of the cost though. It's been a few years but it is reasonable, beautiful and they have a shower and toilets.
