This is a small PetCo. I’ve only given it 4 stars because on both visits, I felt it could be cleaner and laid out nicer. The larger one in Seminole looks like it was built to replace it but they kept this one open due to demand. The employees are great and that makes up for it.

Had some difficulty returning a bag of bad dog food. It was 31 day since buying the 3 bags of food. Return time 30 days. Took 3 employees and a manager to get the system to take back the food. This was after having to contact the manufacturer who said take it back to the store. Great employees, they found a way. Corporate needs to

something about pet store employees always brings out the best in folks. I've only had friendly interactions with folks. On occasion I've had issues with expired or cuts/holes in bags of food I was looking to buy. Just visually inspect before you buy and there should be no problem

Such CUTE animals, great friendly staff, and informed me about their app with deals!

Yes, and for cats as well as long as there is a groomer there who is able. Walk in for dog nails with a rabies shot, but call in for cats
Yes, in the aquatics section.
Animal House had ducks, turkeys and rabbits last week
Usually they come in once a week, and they carry Male and female elephant ear bettas. They are beautiful fish!
For answers to that question you will want to call the store closest to you and inquire
This is a chain pet store, not a bar. I believe you were possibly referring to cockatiels? I believe I did see some birds as I remember seeing guinea pigs there as well. LOL
I don't know I'm a customer, but I think they do, otherwise bait and tackle shops do. But pretty sure they do.
No. That's something you'd have to purchase at an exotic pet store.
Yes. But best to contact the actual store you are going to and see whar they have. It wil vary by location
Yes, usually excellent service here
No
No, but sometimes they can special order or get random animals in.
So YES because Petco does have a vet in-store on certain days, u would have to call and see what days. BTW: I ditto Tress Flanigen - there are other stores with much better prices and variety, and more pet-knowledgeable staff. The staff at Petco are nice but animal house staff has better hands on experience. I ride the bus so convenience sometimes puts me at Petco, but it can be worth the extra bus ride to go to Animal House. For instance, Animal House sells individual doses of Frontline & Advantage - a real life saver!! It's very important my little Lucie get her monthly dose, especially in the summer months, but i don't always have the cash for an entire box of Frontline. It's nice to only have to put out $15 for one dose! Some vets sell individual doses, but most require u to bring the pet in to be weighed which can end up costing an office visit. (SPCAs Vet Clinic on 5th Ave N in St Pete also sells individual doses without seeing the dog)
They have them for small animals, ones that clip to kennels or cages, and portable ones for travel.
