The taco cebeza was very fatty, chewy and lacked flavor. The tortillas were standard La Banderita (or similar), nothing spectacular. For the price ($6.99) it was stuffed to fill two 4 inch tortillas, see photo. The horchata had a strange chemical taste, maybe it was just this batch or the cup, but it’s not worth trying again to find out. The store is great and offers unique items that can make any Mexican meal shine! The staff is so nice and friendly. It is worth a visit for some candy and a luchador mask.

Mexican store with Mexican restaurant in the back. You have to pay first and then order. 🍽 semiautomatic Mexican food, but is one of the closest ones I've been in WA. I liked their tongue tacos and their horchata drink (rice drink). We all also ordered menudo and it was ok Dishes are pretty big, ordered a sope and a quesadilla and they are huge. 🛎 they have food prepared and serve pretty quick 🅿️ no parking, need to street park

This place is so authentic, it's just like a trip to Mexico. I've lived in the neighborhood a couple of years and never noticed it. It's been hiding in plain sight for a while due to lack of signage, and the taqueria hides behind the groceries. At first, the prices seem high until you see the portion size. Just one taco is enough for a meal, so pretty economical. I've gotten a quesadilla and had to take half home. They cook all the meat there - all made in house and even buy whole lambs at a local farm that are slaughtered on site that day, so that's fresh. They make an awesome consome (lamb soup), that I've only had before in Mexico. I've even watched them make the tortillas one a special machine. Also a great selection of Mexican sodas and snacks. So fun to browse and try something new each time. This place is definitely a favorite now.

I ate here last 5 years ago and it was horrible. The service was slow and rude. The place was dirty. I think there are new owners cause it's much cleaner. It may not look it cause it's an old building but they're always cleaning. I wasn't in love with the food but it was still pretty good bang for your buck. And the service was excellent. The people here work their butts off and the cashier took time to grab us a baby chair when he saw us struggling . Great experience and great ambience.

The barbecue and the consommé are served every day from 9am-7pm. And we have free parking for 90 minutes in a lot behind the restaurant. Entrance behind Chase Bank on 85.
