Saturday morning, and only one person working with a full lobby. This is the absolute biggest waste of time. Why only one person is working the counter with a lobby full of people in the morning is ridiculous!

DO NOT GO HERE!! If I could leave -5 stars I would, staff treats customers like garbage, low-staffed, very-disorganized. When I went there it seemed that every customer was turned down and refused service in order for them to avoid work. Need a little tape for a package? Nope, "Buy a roll or leave, I'm not doing that" said to the customer ahead of me by an employee. This is the most horrible post office I've ever been to and the other reviews/ratings surely speak for themselves.

That is exactly it. Between the fact that people are ordering things online more than ever, & the fact that the new Post Master General has asked all employees to avoid having overtime, the mail often doesn't get sorted on time, so it takes longer for it to be delivered.
The lobby is open 24/7 so you can access your PO Box at any time of the day.

You need an appointment. Go to usps.com. I think you can look for openings today there. Check other local offices as well.
What happened was we had 3 days of mail because of a holiday that only 25% of the people have off and it snowed 8" and It takes longer to just get out of the office when there is that much mail which means the poor postal people are out in the dark and they have the option if they think it's unsafe to stop delivery and possibly the you didn't have your mailbox free of snow to get at!!!

You can call the Shelby po and make sure they are forwarding all your mail. Once it goes to forwarding it goes back to the plant where they put your new address sticker, then to the Clinton macomb po for delivery. I really recommend calling the magazine and changing your address with them. It will skip the forwarding process which can take a while sometimes. :)
