It was easy & accommodating.

Why do I need to be a Penn Twp. Resident to use this facility? I was coming here long before those signs went up and now, I can no longer recycle my electronics and am forced to go to the incinerator, since there are no other recycling facilities.

I just called and ask if you have to be a resident, they ask what I had and if I live in York County and told me I could bring my stuff. I do not live in the township.

We just dropped off a truck load of stuff this past weekend. TV's, microwaves, computer tower, dvd players. When I called they said basically anything with a plug, but nothing with freon, so no refrigerators, air conditioners etc... Very nice facility. They came right up with a cart and unloaded everything for us.
Can I drop off old TV's not flat screen? Thks

I would call CSR. Consolidated scrap resources. They have a facility on Vander avenue in York City. I'm not sure if they take AC units that have freon in them, so definitely call ahead of time. You would get a couple dollars for it too. If not there try the incinerator in York City. It's off of route 30 by the Connewago. Behind Round the Clock Diner

If you live outside of York County or McSherrystown, they do not accept electronics.

Don't put recycling in your trash bag and recycle like you're supposed to, and that won't happen...
