I went there to buy 5 chicks. They are friendly and patiently walked me through some initial steps that I need to pay special attention to. I would recommend this barn to my friends.

It's a great place to buy chicks and everything you need to raise them. Baxter doesn't have a "chick day" like a feed store or a co-op would have. They're a farm, so various chicks are born every week. Check their facebook page, call, or text them in order to know what's available. The chicks were healthy, and friendly. They seemed to be quite comfortable with being handled. The staff is very knowledgeable, will take you through care, tips, and also sell you everything you need to care for them. Pricing is good as well, you won't save much (if at all) by shopping elsewhere, just buy everything you need there. The one exception might be the bin/trough where you'll raise your baby chicks. You may want to buy a large storage container from Home Depot instead of one of the steel tubs they have there.

Baxter Barn is my favorite farm store for everything hen. I have bought chicks and adults from them over the years and everyone has been healthy. If I have lost one, it was long enough after purchase that the fault is mine. I buy scratch and layer feed from Baxter Barn. My hens are laying at full tilt right now. The folks that run the place are helpful. I enjoy wandering around looking at the other birds and critters for sale. I don't need a little pig, but it is fun to see them.

What a great place I cannot wait to truly enjoy this place after the virus BS is over. We picked these ladies up this afternoon and I cant wait to be a baby chicken pappa again! These girls will love the coop & run we have with our other girls!

By the Way, Thanks For Taking Care Of Them
Do you have Chuker Chicks or grown bird pairs?
Yes they do! We have two that we bought and love them!
Yes all year round. We have a list on Facebook
Often, but if you want to be certain go ask them. They have a variety of animals so I doubt they wouldn't. In fact, on tour I saw a few ducks.
